A technocrat doing an MBA.

Here comes September and almost 90% of my class is enrolled for CAT preparatory classes and I am no special, but the question arises that why do an MBA when you have burned so much midnight oil learning technical aspects and have almost talked binary???

Well in my opinion the fact of the matter is yes the contemporary demand is for MBA but according to me it is more to me than just the demand from the market. When someone asks me that why an MBA my answer is that yes I want to sell things to the world and those things are technical, I relish making strategies for it and also I love learning and observing various companies strategies, I also love to convince people and guide them to a path where a common goal can be achieved, it’s nothing new to me its just I have been doing this for the last so many years, its something I would say that is very much genetic in me, a legacy that I enjoy and respect.

Microsoft may be the leader in technological advancements in computer software industry but in Indian context the leader is piracy. So now comes the point yes they lead but still their business gets hampered on day to day basis with the extent of piracy existing in the Indian markets, now the question is that yes their technical brains are so advanced that they think of the impossible and then make it possible but can’t they develop some strategy that makes their business piracy free?.The fact remains that Microsoft may be loosing almost 60-75% business in India, due to piracy and still nothing concrete has been done about it.

So my point is that instead of making a software that is really advanced and out of this world I am more interested in selling it, making it reach more and more people, let that software change life of people inside the company and outside the company.

To me doing MBA is not high pay package, easy life, status or something like this. Yes money is important but then MBA is not equivalent of earning handsome package. The interest is more of exploring businesses all across the globe; the interest is understanding people, conversing with them, knowing their wants and then fulfilling them.
